Walworth Low Emission Neighbourhood - Online Consultation.
As you may know, Southwark Council has been awarded £1 million to tackle air pollution problems along the Walworth Road in the Mayor of London funded Walworth Low Emission Neighbourhood project. Southwark’s investigation into traffic/transport-related issues across the Walworth area has just begun and there are opportunities to highlight problems and changes that you would like to see on this Commonplace map:
It is quite easy to make comments on it. The aim of this map-based work is to provide a base of understanding of the changes that are needed across the Walworth area. Please do have your say!

News from Southwark Council about the online consultation on the new Walworth Library and Southwark Heritage Centre. This online concept design consultation is now open.
"Southwark Council with AOC Architects and Lendlease are continuing to work on the new library and heritage centre in Walworth and here is another opportunity for you to see the current concept designs.
The online consultation is now live so please circulate the link to your friends, family and networks so they can see the ideas and have their say.
Thanks to those that made it along to the 'Chalk and talk' event yesterday – we had a lot of great conversations, received some superb ideas and input and look to expand this over the next few weeks."

Knife Crime Seminar - Wednesday 16th October 6.30-9.00pm
From WS Member Mark Webb, news of a seminar looking at ways to address and reduce knife crime. Speakers will include Sara Hyde who is an expert on childhood trauma; Lou Edminson from The Blue Elephant talking about youth drama as an anti-knife crime medium. Twilight Bay is an internationally known speaker from the US and a gang expert. Mark himself will talk about Now, Then and The Future of Knife Crime. The invitation is below:
