Our next meeting is on Thursday 4th April 7pm and one of the main agenda items will be starting to plan for the Walworth History Festival 2019 (Sat 12th to Sun 20th October).

2. Walworth Town Hall Redevelopment. Discussion at 12th March Cabinet Meeting.

The background to this appears in detail in the meeting minutes above. The proposals from Southwark Council for the redevelopment of the WTH are outlined in the Southwark Council Cabinet reports:

http://moderngov.southwark.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=302&MId=6088&Ver=4 (item 15)

AND the proposals (see especially paras 1 to 7 in Recommendations) appear at:

In summary the following was agreed/discussed at the 12th March Cabinet meeting:

1. General Projects is the preferred bidder. 2. There will now be a process of engagement between Southwark Council and General Projects and interested individuals and groups from across Walworth and Southwark for the development of ideas for the content and structure of the "designated community, arts and culture space" within the WTH and proposals for this should return to Cabinet within 12 months for approval. 3. As part of this engagement, proposals will be developed for the creation of an independent management board for this space which will include "community involvement". 4. This engagement process should begin immediately.

3. Queen Elizabeth PH - Merrow St Music Video

Many thanks to Ben Adams who spotted this music video from 2015 which features the Queen Elizabeth PH in Merrow St heavily.
